Escalating costs, changing healthcare needs, and rigorous regulatory requirements are spurring healthcare organizations to put every aspect of their operations under a microscope. Healthcare organizations are in a constant state of flux to respond to ever-changing needs and expectations, whether caused by something as common as emergency room holiday peaks overloading a local hospital or as serious as a wide-spread contagion or mass casualty situation. Nurses, physicians, and other staff need to be reachable anytime and anywhere. Facility emergency managers and risk managers must be able to coordinate with local first responders, other medical facilities, and federal agencies. Add in increased Joint Commission requirements and staffing shortages and it becomes obvious that hospitals today are expected to do more with less.
Respond to Environment of Care Emergencies
Modern environment of care challenges require streamlined communication strategies, staffing capabilities, and crisis management plans. From routine staff announcements to mass disaster callbacks, the 3n system quickly and efficiently delivers messages to one or thousands of recipients.
The 3n InstaCom™ mass notification system enables hospitals to:
- Meet Joint Commission environment of care requirements. Joint Commission requires timely responses to environment of care incidents. The 3n mass notification system enables hospitals to initiate emergency conference calls, conduct quick and efficient callbacks, perform annual callback drills, and show evidence of staff training to meet Joint Commission reporting requirements.
- Schedule extra personnel on short notice. Need extra nurses? Emergency room overloaded? 3n's advanced staff callback feature enables administrators to quickly determine who can work and when.
- Respond to emergencies more quickly. Emergency response is critical for every hospital, every day. The 3n mass notification system allows instant, easy dissemination of critical information about supplies, facility relocation, staffing, and other issues, and enables administrators to immediately activate emergency response teams, such as hazmat, decontamination, and chemical spill teams.
- Reach nurses, physicians, and other staff—no matter which communication devices they use. The 3n mass notification system cycles through multiple voice and text devices until a successful delivery is made. Even if administrators, doctors, facility managers, and others use different pagers, cell phones, and other contact devices, the 3n mass notification system delivers your message. The 3n system can be accessed from anywhere and provides a "confirmation of receipt" record to fulfill your reporting requirements.
- Unburden IT teams. The 3n mass notification system doesn't impact hospital IT staff. You do not need to purchase or maintain expensive hardware or software or worry about updates and maintenance. The system is easy to set up and is built to rigorous government security standards. As the industry's only mass notification provider with an active-active configuration (3n’s proprietary ACT-SaaSSM service), 3n provides uninterrupted availability and superior performance at any time, during any disaster.
Qualifies for HRSA funds
The Department of Health and Human Services provides states with federally funded resources to improve healthcare annually. These grants from Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) are available at www.hrsa.gov. The 3n system qualifies for HRSA funding; many of 3n's hospital clients have already used HRSA monies to purchase the system.
